This is a short, essential guide for my Substack readers who want to better understand my teachings about certain placements in their charts.

ASTROLOGY HOUSES

  • 1st HOUSE: how we step into the world, how we are born, how we like to profile ourselves, the first impression we give, physical appearance, how we deal with new situations.

  • 2nd HOUSE: our gifts, our moral values, our material values, earned income, our self worth, the gifts we use to craete income, how we deal with money.

  • 3rd HOUSE: communication, education – primary school,  brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, nephews, neighbours, how we deal with communication and knowledge, how we deal with the intellect, short distance travel.

  • 4th HOUSE: house and family, our ancestors, how we deal with emotion, our connection tot he souls, the root of our being, deep wisdom, early childood experiences, our father.

  • 5th HOUSE: our inner child, our children – the first one, our self expression, how we communicate with children in general, how we build our identity, the lover, sex and romance, creativity, good luck.

  • 6th HOUSE: our pets, our health, our daily job, our daily routines, how we deal with work, our employees and colleagues.

  • 7th HOUSE: love relationship, intimate friends, lawyers, how we deal with relationships, cooperation, 1-1 connections, business partners, open enemies.

  • 8th HOUSE: intimacy, transitioning and transformation, sexuality, other people’s resources, shared resources and money, death and regeneration.

  • 9th HOUSE: grandparents, higher education, belief systems, our faith, international relationships, expanding our horizon, foreign countries, mountains.

  • 10th HOUSE: career, our role in society, public life, reputation, our mission and goal in life, our mother.

  • 11th HOUSE: social groups, hobbies, how we deal with social settings,communities, the marriage (according to classical astrologers)

  • 12th HOUSE: prenatal experiences, past lives, ancestral themes, the last phase of a cycle and the time before beginning a new one, institutions (orphanages, jail, hospitals etc), things we need to complete or let go, our subconscious mind, oneness experiences, our connection to the Source.

SIGNS SYMBOLISM

  • Aries (ruled by Mars): initiative, action, leadership, facing fears, impulsivity, passionate, bold, childish, warrior, pioneer, independence, competitiveness, assertiveness, vitality.

  • Taurus (ruled by Venus): quality, beauty, harmony, peace, grounding, stability, stubborness, patience, practicality, strong, attraacted by luxury and the finer things in life, reliable, sensual, owned goods.

  • Gemini (ruled by Mercury): intellect, speaking, communication, writing, transactions, commerce, adaptable, capricious, mental agility, clever, nosy, gossip, restless, scattered, superficial, social.

  • Cancer (ruled by the Moon): emotional, nurturing, family, loyalty, intuition, home, mother archetype, sensitivity, guarded, shy, romantic, empathetic, protective, caring, holding on to the past.

  • Leo (ruled by the Sun): courageous, charismatic, egocentric, proud, confident, leader, royal, shiny, sun, being in the spotlight, theatrical, dynamic, vain, stubborn, arrogant, domineering, passionate.

  • Virgo (ruled by Mercury): analytical, detail oriented, critical (both of herself and others), meticulous, wants to fix others constantly, perfectionist, organized, structured, modest, focus on the intellectual side, practical.

  • Libra (ruled by Venus): harmony, looks for balance and beauty in life, artistic, flirtatious, attracted to the finer things in life, tendency to co-dependence, adaptable, aestethic, impractical, indecisive, insincere, pleasing, polite, refined, self absorbed, diplomatic, thoughtful, idealistic.

  • Scorpio (ruled by Mars and Pluto): deep, intense, magnetic, magic, passionate, intuitive, intense stare, powerful, psychologically focused, attracted to mysticism and teh occult, deeply sexual, emotional, loyal, vindictive, jealous, wants depth in every connection, cannot stand small talk, secretive, opens up with difficulty, may have trust issues.

  • Sagittarius (ruled by Jupiter): spontaneous, playfull, likes to explore new things and travel, atrracted to games of all sorts (mind games, relationship games, casino games and bets), easy going, social, superficial, attachment avoidant, free spirit, optimistic, joker, honest, idealist, expansion of the mind, expansion through travelling, expansion through challenging old beliefs, enthusiastic, direct.

  • Capricorn (ruled by Saturn): structured, hardworking, persistent, leader, career, stubborn, stable, long term, realistic, old soul feeling, serious, sometimes grumpy, ambitious, responsible, maturity, strong focus, discipline, patience, reliable, practical, wise, good at planning and organizing, loyal.

  • Aquarius (ruled by Uranus): innovator, forward thinker, community oriented, works for the evolution of humanity, technology, medicine, aloof, clever, original, quirqy, quick witted, eccentric, erratic, progressive, rebel, scientific, sincere, tactless, independent.

  • Pisces (ruled by Neptune): mystical, bohemic, artist, not very practical or grounded, intuitive, prone to vices and co-dependency, scattered mind, adaptable, fluid, lacking boundaries, empathetic, imaginative, compassionate, prone toescapism and self-sacrifice.

PLANETS IN ASTROLOGY

  • The Sun – our core identity, our ego, life purpose and force, vitality and health, how we express ourselves, our innate strengths, aspirations, our conscious mind. 

  • The Moon – how we live our emotions, how we deal with our emotions, inner world, instincts, subconscious needs for security and comfort, mother figure, feminine energy.

  • Mars – the god of war, the way we face and take action in our lives, our drive, ambition, raw energy, desire, masculine archetype, how we deal with competitiveness, anger, how our survival instinct manifests.

  • Mercury – how we think, how we communicate, how we exchange ideas,how we process information, how we learn, our mental style.

  • Venus – governs love, beauty, arts, harmony, relationships, money, luxury, pleasure. It shows how we attract/give love, joy, money. It influences our style altogether, from how we dress, how we seduce, how we prefer to be seduced and make love.

  • Jupiter – the planet of expansion and good fortune. Where it lies, that part of your life expands (whether it to more bad or to more good). Refers to abundance, expansion of life, higher learning, phylosophy, generosity.

  • Neptune – the planet of illusion, mystics, dreams, inspiration and compassion, higher consciousness, connetion to higher planes. On the dark side, it indicates escapism, brain fog, confusion, lack of grounding, a tendency to lie to yourself, to depression or addictions.

  • Uranus – known as the revolutionary, the rebel, it brings sudden change that has long term repercussions; it refers to innovation in science (in tech and medicine, specifically) and freedom. It dismantkes everything that is old and no longer necessary.

  • Saturn – the exigent teacher that gives us lessons, so that we can evolve. It teaches us patience, responsibility, discipline, commitment, endurance and hoe to create strong foundations and frameworks. It does not like superficiality, escapism  - avoidance will translate into karmic lessons that keep repeating until you get the message.

  • Chiron – the wounded healer. Represents the deep wounding in the child issues of self worth and poor self-esteem. It shows us where we overcompensate, we sabotage ourselves, the nature of our wound.

  • Juno – the matriarch, goddess of commited love and marriage; shows how we handle commitment and what type of partner fits us best, as well as were commiteed love can be found in our life.

  • Pallas – rules strategy and the balancing act of wisdom and intuition; shows where we apply that most and best in our lives

  • Ceres – it shows how we want to be loved and nurtured; what nurtures us emotionally; how we nurture and care for ourselves, how we replenish.

  • Pars Fortunae – represents worldly success, proesperity and can point towards career choices where the person will find success.

  • Lilith – shows what was taboo in our childhood, where we were shamed or forced to stay small to survive. At the same time, it shows us where our biggest power resides, our rawness, where we need to act shameless in our lives.

  • Selena – can represent our higher calling, the cache of gold we stored from previous lives. It is a beacon of positivity, our moral purity, the higher conscience. It leads you to where you need to be to fulfill your sense of destiny.
